Rishi Sunak, the UK Chancellor, has extended the VAT cut for hospitality and tourism to the end of March 2021. Speaking in Parliament today after scrapping the autumn Budget, Sunak unveiled measures dubbed the #WinterEconomyPlan hoping to shelter the economy from the upcoming winter headwinds brought on by a second-wave of Covid-19 and, undoubtedly although not mentioned, a firm Brexit.
